My community garden plot – garlic and shallots are doing well, tomato transplants are in the ground, bucket potatoes starting to sprout, and early plantings of greens and peas are visible here.
Garlic and shallots. I’m growing German Red and Music garlic; shallots are an unknown (but tasty!) variety that I got from the farmer’s market several years ago.
Tomato transplants in the garden, and off to a good start. This year I’m growing Opalka, Bosu, Black from Tula, Paul Robeson, Pink Brandywine Cherry, and Black Cherry.
Bucket potatoes coming up. These were nipped by the frost, but are coming back strong. I’m growing Yukon Gold and All Blue.
Lettuce – Spotted Aleppo, and Bronze Arrowhead. Also some Mizuna in the background.
Early beets and carrots that were started in the cold frame
Peas starting to climb – These are Sugar Snap. I’m also growing Desiree and Kent Blue.
